GMM: In sum, police descend on Hackett's Melbourne pad and find it trashed. The assumption is that Hackett and wife, Candice Alley, a celebrity singer, had a fight, a physical fight.
Hackett said, "We came home and had a few private issues that we needed to deal with and we've dealt with those."
Sounds like a private situation that's only news because of Hackett high profile.
Hackett, a 5-time Olympic medalist, is considered one of the greatest milers of all-time. Hackett is expected to cover the 2012 Olympic Games for Wide World of Sports/Channel 9 in Australia.
