GMM: According to AP, cheaters in the Olympic arena have reason to be worried. A new test has been developed which can detect human growth hormone (HGH) up to three weeks after an athlete has dosed themselves.
The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency is onboard. They have endorsed the test, which uses blood samples to detect HGH.
The World Anti-Doping Agency still needs to validate the test, but insiders expect that to happen imminently. The old test only detected HGH from a half a day to three days from the athlete dosing themselves.
Makes you wonder, If world-class athletes only had to go-off the drug three-four days before testing, how many did this, used the drug to enhance training and performance?
"This is an important step," said Travis Tygart, CEO of the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. "We're hopeful it's going to be approved by WADA soon."

And what if athletes use hgh releasers. They naturally boost growth hormone. Will this test identify that also identify natural hgh?
