1960 Olympian and USA National Team Alum, Jeff Farrell, defies age.
After his Olympic run he left the sport for nearly 20 years. He returned in the early 1980s and started kicking-butt. Jeff has swum in every age group since, from 40-44 through 70-74, breaking 27 Masters World Records in the process.
Jeff, in the 70-74 age group now, swims 24.1 in the 50 yard freestyle, lightning fast. Back in 1960 he swam the 50 free in 22.5. (When I growup, I want to be just like Jeff!) He's an inspiration to many in the swimming world, hard evidence that speed never has to wane while the spirit remains strong.
Congratulations to Jeff Farrell for being inducted into the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame this year!
