The Olympic Games is not all pomp and ceremony. We have funny moments too. Checkout this video:
This is a clever ad to support listening to the Olympics on the radio, but I have to add that 99% of athletes have no issue with their bodies....certainly no issue performing in revealing competition gear. I really don't see why anyone else would, but the ad is clever and worth a look and a laugh.
When I was kid, only 7 years old, I dove in for a 25 meter freestyle race and my suit came down to my knees. I remember the ensuing panic clearly, to this day, over 30 years later. It was awful! I nose-dived to the bottom of the pool trying to hide my exposed buttocks, then wrestled my suit back into place. Of course my suit came down because I had forgotten to tie the string, so I had to stroke with one arm while holding my suit up with another. When the race was over, my big sister was laughing poolside with her friends... It was traumatizing, but I survived... I wonder if all athletes experience similar situations at some point in their long careers. Perhaps these experiences are a good thing. Perhaps that's why we all get-over how we look at awkward times in our revealing competitive-wear.
