Jacob Pebley, only 16 years old, kicked-butt at USA Swimming's Short Course Junior National Championships in Atlanta, Georgia.
Pebley took the 100y backstroke in 47.66 seconds and the 200 backstroke in 1:42.73, each swim a meet record!
Pebley captured silver in the 200 IM with a 1:47.46.
Pebley got 4th in the 400 IM in 3:51.98 and 6th in the 100 freestyle in 45.05.
Many thanks to my Oregon buddy, Amir Hartman, for keeping me posted on Pebley's success. Pebley's been a longtime Oregon swimming talent, rising through the age-group ranks.

Pebley is now 17. He is the real deal. His time this Summer in the 200 M Back was a 1:58.96.
That would have been good enough to final at the Sydney Olympics.
